Unknown wedding

This photo is from the personal collection of my maternal grandparents.

I have no indication of the identity of the bride and groom.

Various details lead me to believe that the photograph was taken in the late 1950s/early 1960s.

Perhaps a daughter or son of friends of my grandparents, or a niece or distant nephew.

The bride and groom's parents must have come from Salonika in Greece, while their children may have immigrated anywhere in the world.

Avidor family, Marseille

This photo comes from the collection of my paternal grandparents.

I'm looking for my father's family, with whom he lived in Marseille in the summer of 1952, AVIGDOR or AVIDOR, originally from Edirne in Turkey.

I think the AVIGDOR/AVIDOR family had been in Marseille since the late 1920s or early 1930s.

As for the AVIGDOR/AVIDOR family, there were the parents and two or three children. Certainly the tall girl in the photos, Liliane (or Eliane), and her younger brother.

From left to right, Liliane (Eliane) AVIGDOR/AVIDOR (approx. 18), my father (15), my grandmother, little brother AVIGDOR/AVIDOR (approx. 11), my uncle (9).

Calo Madjar, wife Atias

This photo comes from the collection of my paternal grandparents.

It was probably taken in Paris in the 1950s.

This is the portrait of Calo MADJAR wife ATIAS or ATHIAS according to the documents.

Calo was my grandmother's aunt, born in Istanbul (Constantinople at the time), Turkey, around 1880, and died in Paris in 1958.

I think the ATIAS family immigrated to Paris in the 1920s and lived at 41 rue Basfroi in the 11th arrondissement.

I'm looking for her descendants.

Calo had three children: Joseph, Suzanne, Sarah.

Mrs Avidor, Marseille

This photo comes from the collection of my paternal grandparents. It was taken by my father on the port of Marseille in the summer of 1952.

I'm looking for my father's family, with whom he stayed that summer in Marseille. The name is AVIGDOR or AVIDOR, from Edirne in Turkey. This is the married name of my grandfather's cousin (she could be a BENNUN or CRESPI girl, but I'm not sure).

In this photo, from left to right, my grandfather, my grandmother, Madame AVIGDOR/AVIDOR (my grandfather's cousin), her son (aged around 11), my uncle (aged 9) seated in front.

I think the AVIGDOR/AVIDOR family had been in Marseille since the late 1920s or early 1930s.

In terms of family composition, there were the parents and two or three children.

Unknown in the garden

This photo comes from the collection of my paternal grandparents. It's in a garden, and you can make out a house behind the fence.

By cross-checking, I think this photo was taken in the summer of 1954.

It may have been taken in France or abroad (Israel?) where my family would have been vacationing at the time.

In this photo, from left to right, the stranger, my father, my grandmother and my uncle.

The unknown woman, of my grandmother's generation, could be a cousin or a friend, originally from Turkey and born between 1900 and 1910.
